But storms don't have brains...

Surely they can't learn! Well, in a stunning development, it appears that maybe they can:

Tropical Storm Irene stronger, better organized
Yes, hurricanes and tropical storms seem to be learning from their mistakes. They are starting to make better use of their time out over the atlantic, training, exercizing, drilling. They are choosing their attacks on American soil more strategically and soon we may find different storms cooperating, working in concert to deliver a knockout blow. If that ever happens, gentleman, the American way of life will be at an end.
